Turkey Neutralizes 17 PKK Militants in Northern Iraq

The Turkish Ministry of Defense reported today, Monday, that airstrikes in northern Iraq have resulted in the neutralization of 17 members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
The ministry's statement indicated that Turkish forces are actively conducting operations in northern Iraq "continuously to secure the borders and maintain stability in the region," according to Anadolu Agency.
The statement also mentioned that these 17 militants were targeted in airstrikes within the area of Operation “Claw-Lock,” reaffirming Turkey’s commitment to combating terrorism "with determination."
Operation “Claw-Lock” was initiated by the Turkish military on April 17, 2022, targeting PKK bases in regions including Metina, Zap, Avashin-Basyan, as well as the Qandil, Asos, and Kakurk mountains.
