Iran: 28 Pakistani Nationals Dead and 23 Injured in Yazd Bus Crash
Iranian officials reported on Wednesday that 28 Pakistani nationals lost their lives and 23 others were injured when their bus overturned in the Dehsheer area of Yazd, central Iran. The bus was en route to Iraq at the time of the accident.
The Iranian News Agency cited the Yazd Emergency Organization, which confirmed that the crash resulted in 28 fatalities, including 11 women, with 23 other passengers being transported to hospitals for medical treatment.
Brigadier General Seyed Timor Hosseini, head of Iranian Traffic Police, explained in a statement that the main cause of the crash was a “brake system malfunction.”
