The Meteorological Department reports that this weekend will bring extreme daytime heat and warm to mildly cooler nights, influenced by the Indian monsoon low-pressure system. The region will experience a very hot air mass along with light to moderate northwesterly winds, which may strengthen over the next two days and cause dust.
Dr. Hassan Al-Dashti, Acting Director of the department, stated that today, Thursday, will see extreme heat with winds shifting from northwesterly to variable at speeds between 8 and 38 km/h. Temperatures are expected to peak between 47 and 49 degrees Celsius. The sea conditions will range from calm to moderately rough.
