Polio Vaccination Kicks Off in Gaza Amidst Ongoing Conflict: UN-Approved Humanitarian Pauses Make It Possible!

On Saturday, officials announced the start of a polio vaccination campaign in central Gaza, following the UN's confirmation that the occupying forces agreed to "humanitarian pauses" to enable the vaccination of children amid the ongoing conflict that has lasted nearly 11 months.

Dr. Mousa Abed, Director General of Primary Health Care at Gaza's Ministry of Health, informed AFP that health teams, in partnership with the UN and various NGOs, have launched the polio vaccination campaign in the central region today.
