**Pakistani Army Kills 7 Militants Near Afghan Border**

In global news, the Pakistani army has reported the death of seven militants following an operation in a rugged region near the northern border with Afghanistan.

According to the Pakistani army, intelligence revealed the presence of "terrorists" in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, adjacent to Afghanistan. 

In response, security forces launched an operation that resulted in seven militants being killed and five others wounded. 

The operation also led to the dismantling of a militant hideout and the seizure of substantial amounts of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.

The army noted that the deceased militants were involved in attacks against security forces and civilians. 

The Pakistani military has pledged to continue its "cleansing operations" to address such threats.
