The Kuwait Red Crescent Society has announced that the first flight, loaded with 10 tons of protective gear and tents, has departed for Port Sudan Airport. This mission is part of a Kuwaiti humanitarian airlift aimed at supporting displaced individuals in Sudan affected by ongoing conflicts and severe flooding.
Anwar Al-Hassawi, Deputy Chairman of the society, told KUNA on Wednesday that this flight continues the Kuwaiti relief efforts designed to ease the hardships faced by the Sudanese people.
Al-Hassawi also noted that the aid is part of the "Kuwait Stands by You" initiative, following directives from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to assist Sudan.
