Kuwait's Bold Move: Major Aid Boost for Sudan Amidst Critical Peace Efforts

**Kuwait Applauds Statement from “Allies for Saving Lives and Achieving Peace in Sudan”**

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait has expressed its approval of the recent statement from the group “Allies for Saving Lives and Achieving Peace in Sudan.” The ministry praised the collaborative efforts of international and regional stakeholders in the Geneva discussions.

In today’s statement, the ministry highlighted the importance of the agreement to open humanitarian corridors and secure routes to facilitate the delivery of international aid to Sudanese citizens. It also supported the call to adhere to the Jeddah Declaration issued in May 2023.

Furthermore, the ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s ongoing support by continuing its humanitarian aid efforts through the Kuwaiti air bridge, which has thus far delivered about 24 flights carrying essential supplies such as food, medical and pharmaceutical items, emergency shelter materials, and ambulances.
