The Ministry of Health has announced that Kuwait has received an award from the World Health Organization (WHO), through the Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO), in acknowledgment of its remarkable achievements in the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) over the last fifty years.
According to a statement released today, this accolade, which includes a commemorative plaque, "recognizes Kuwait's ongoing efforts to adapt to new medical guidelines and recommendations in immunization to prevent infectious diseases."
Dr. Hamad Bastaki, Head of the Infectious Diseases Control Section at the Ministry of Health, noted that this recognition underscores Kuwait's dedication to enhancing public health and ensuring effective protection.
