Kuwait Red Crescent Pledges Continued Humanitarian Aid to Sudan

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society has reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to delivering humanitarian aid and supporting international efforts to mitigate the suffering in Sudan.

Anwar Al-Hassawi, Deputy Chairman of the Society, told KUNA that the severe floods and storms affecting various regions in Sudan have caused extensive displacement and significant damage to properties and infrastructure. He stressed the urgent need for intervention by humanitarian organizations.

Al-Hassawi further stated, "We remain dedicated to assisting Sudanese people given the grave humanitarian crisis, which has resulted in numerous casualties, widespread displacement, and a severe humanitarian emergency."
