**Afghanistan: Blast on Kabul Bus Kills One and Injures Eleven**

A bomb explosion on a bus in Kabul’s predominantly Shiite area led to one fatality and eleven injuries on Sunday, according to a Kabul police spokesperson. 

Khalid Zadran reported that the device “was placed on a bus in the Dasht-e-Barchi neighborhood” and noted that an investigation is ongoing. 

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, which happened around 4 p.m. local time (11:30 GMT). The Shiite minority, frequently targeted by ISIS, has long faced persecution in Afghanistan.

Although the number of explosions and suicide attacks has significantly dropped since the Taliban's takeover in August 2021, such incidents still occur.
