On Tuesday, Jordan condemned the entry of extremist Israeli ministers and Knesset members into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Noble Sanctuary in Jerusalem. This incursion, which was protected by Israeli police, coincided with provocative actions by extremist settlers.
Sufian Qudah, spokesperson for Jordan's Foreign Ministry, described these actions as a “clear breach of international law and the established historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its holy sites.” He criticized the Israeli government for ignoring international laws and commitments.
Qudah stressed that ongoing unilateral Israeli measures and repeated violations of the status quo in Jerusalem necessitate a decisive international stance to condemn these actions and provide necessary protection.
