Swiatek was defeated by Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva with a score of 6-3, 1-6, 2-6, dashing her hopes for her first Wimbledon title and sixth Grand Slam victory. Putintseva also ended Swiatek's impressive 21-match winning streak, during which Swiatek secured titles in Madrid, Rome, and the French Open, marking her third consecutive Roland Garros win and fourth in five years.
