Russia Issues Warning: Possible Targeting of Europe if US Missiles Deploy in Germany

On Saturday, the Kremlin cautioned that if the US deploys missiles in Germany, it could lead to European capitals becoming targets for Russian missiles, evoking memories of Cold War tensions.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov described it as a "paradox" where "Europe could be targeted by our missiles, and our country by American missiles in Europe."
Speaking to Russia's official TV channel "Russia 1," Peskov emphasized, "We have sufficient capability to counter these missiles, but potential casualties would include the capitals of these European nations."
Peskov also suggested that such a scenario could destabilize Europe similarly to how the Cold War ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union.
He remarked, "Europe is fragmenting. It is not experiencing its best times (...) and history repeats itself..."
