Plans for a rail link between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are progressing, with implementation slated to commence in 2026. The Higher Steering Committee overseeing the initiative has approved a comprehensive feasibility study covering financial, economic, technical, and social aspects.
The proposed high-speed train will travel at 500 kilometers per hour and accommodate up to 3,300 passengers per trip. Initial designs are nearing completion, with construction scheduled to begin in 2026 and anticipated completion within four years.
