Thousands of people in California have been forced to evacuate their homes due to a massive and aggressive wildfire that continued to spread perilously on Friday. Despite the efforts of 1,700 firefighters, the situation remains critical.
The "Park Fire" has scorched more than 720 square kilometers of forest and destroyed 134 buildings since it began on Wednesday afternoon in Northern California.
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has reported that the fire is completely out of control, with no containment achieved so far.
The blaze is moving rapidly through a rural area located about three hours' drive northeast of San Francisco.
