Kuwait checking latest update
The Ministry of Interior officials have intensified their field campaigns to apprehend individuals violating residency laws, who did not utilize the deadline to rectify their status or depart the country, which ended on June 30th. Security operations by the Public Security, Residency sectors, and Special Security Forces focused on markets in Al-Qurain, Hawally, and Mahboula, resulting in the apprehension of 149 violators, wanted individuals, and absentees. Additional security checks were conducted in Hawalli, Farwaniya, Al-Mutlaa, and Al-Dajeej, leading to the arrest of 114 violators.
Legal actions will be pursued against anyone harboring violators or assisting them in any manner, including facilitating their travel.
Authorities urge the public to collaborate with security agencies by reporting any violations promptly.
Meanwhile, ongoing inspections have contributed to a labor shortage across the country. Many establishments are experiencing a lack of workers, as numerous individuals are opting to remain home to avoid detection during the crackdown on illegal residents.
Areas such as Mutla'a, Shuwaikh, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Khaitan, and Farwaniya have notably seen a scarcity of technicians, while daily wage workers who typically gather at roundabouts and street corners are conspicuously absent.
