Exclusive: Inside Kuwait's Visa Boom – 8,700 Visas Issued Weekly!
Kuwait visa latest update today live
Kuwait issues approximately 8,700 visit visas per week to expatriates, following guidelines set by the Ministry of Interior. Brigadier Mazid Al-Mutairi, Assistant Director General of the General Administration for Residency Affairs, revealed these statistics in an interview with Al Rai Arabic newspaper. This weekly quota includes around 2,000 business visit visas, 2,900 family visit visas, and 3,800 tourist visit visas distributed across Kuwait's six governorates. These visas are accessible to individuals of all nationalities, contingent upon specific rules that necessitate sponsors to comply with predefined conditions and visitors to abide by Kuwait's laws.
Al-Mutairi highlighted that visitors typically adhere to their visa durations, with instances of overstaying being minimal. Violators are promptly notified through the "Sahel" application and SMS messages, and sponsors are contacted for resolution if violations persist beyond five to seven days. Stringent measures, such as banning sponsors from applying for new visas, imposing fines, and initiating legal actions, are implemented against sponsors who fail to comply with visa regulations. Visas are processed efficiently, typically within 15 to 30 minutes, provided that applications meet all stipulated criteria.
The majority of visitors originate from various countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, India, and Syria, underscoring Kuwait's appeal to a diverse international audience.
